My Work At Secter.
What I Did!
Secter was the first place I interned at during my junior year of college. At secter, I was given the opportunity to lead the Ux design vision they had for an updated, modern website. Since I was the only Ux/Ui designer, I was able to come up with new, fresh ideas that blended their vision of a professional economic development firm with a user-friendly, welcoming redesign. While I talked week after week with my manager, I saw new ideas forming in my mind, which were influenced by the things around me, mainly old school movie posters from the 70s, which saw a major resurgence in the past few years. This saw me blend brighter colors, use different fonts, and have better visuals. All this led to me being given the opportunity to have a $20,000 Google ad budget, in which I created one of the ads you see here.
I spent a total of 6 months working for them, which allowed me to learn the ins and outs of leading a ux design project from the ground up, leading a transfer of important processes onto a new platform, and learning how to design /market for a company. While these were just some of the experiences I learned during my time in the company, they gave me a fresh outlook on how I can best use my talents in this field, giving me the confidence to work on even better projects going foward.
